FAQ

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring , non-psychoactive compound found in the Cannabis plant. Generally, CBD is one of the major phytocannabinoids present in the Cannabis plant, with over 100 cannabinoids identified so far. Higher concentrations of CBD are found in varieties of Industrial Hemp that have been specifically bred for CBD production.

CBD, as a natural compound, is able to communicate with our bodies through our own and unique Endocannabinoid System’s network. Studies have shown CBD’s ability to mimic our own Endocannabinoids and “turn on or off” different “communication centers” from our Endocannabinoid System and regulate its process and metabolism.

Bottom line : It depends on your own unique Endocannabinoid System.

Because your Endocannabinoid System is how you receive and interact with CBD, it really depends on you. However, because we are in the science of transforming all the goodness of the plants into powerful formulations, we have created a well rounded product that is designed as a fundamental base for your own personal exploration of your endocannabinoid system.

CBD comes from the Cannabis plant and can be found both in Industrial Hemp and Marijuana. Industrial Hemp varieties that have been bred for CBD, show higher concentrations of CBD.

The Cannabis plant has many different varieties, or cultivars, that over generations have been bred for specific purposes (i.e Fibers, Psychoactive Effects, Traditional Medicine, Food) and now show distinctive characteristics, both in appearance and in the chemical composition.

Both Hemp and Marijuana are varieties of the Cannabis plant. The legal and recognized difference among these two varieties is the concentration of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) found in the plant.

Industrial Hemp must not have a concentration higher than .3% THC overall

Whereas Marijuana has percentages of even in the upper 20’s (20%+)

As a seed to body company, Ayaora is a licensed grower of Industrial Hemp in the State of New Mexico. We follow the guidelines of the New Mexico Department of Agriculture and the New Mexico Department of Environment, continuously testing our plants and final hemp products.

Cannabinoids = A class of compounds that interact with the Endocannabinoid System of the Body

Full Spectrum Hemp Extract refers to an extraction of the Hemp Plant that preserves cannabinoids (i.e CBD, CBG, including THC in trace amounts & many others), terpenes and all other naturally occurring compounds in the Hemp Plant.

Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract is a distilled version of the Full Spectrum Hemp Extract, that removes the naturally occurring traces of THC present in the plant.

Isolate refers to an Isolated molecule of CBD, which lacks any other naturally occurring compound of the plant that was extracted from.

As a Soulful company, AYAORA works only with whole plant and full spectrum extracts that are carefully crafted to transform the complete essence of the Cannabis plant into each of our products. Our love letter to nature and you.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)  is an important system in our body like our respiratory, musculoskeletal, immune, endocrine and nervous systems.

The Endocannabinoid Systems is a complex network of cells and tissues within the body that communicate with one another via Endocannabinoids and Endocannabinoid receptors, including the brain. Endocannabinoids connect like keys to locks to Endocannabinoid receptors on the surface of cells, which then convey a message that tells the cell what to do.

The endocannabinoid supports homeostasis (the equilibrium between interdependent physiological processes and elements) in the body.

Phytocannabinoids, like CBD, mimic Endocannabinoids and participate in the complex communication that happens within the Endocannabinoid System.

Endo= Inside, Within

Cannabinoids = lipid-based molecules that interact with the endocannabinoid system.

Endocannabinoids are cannabinoids produced by our own bodies that interact with our own endocannabinoid system and regulate the functioning of the body.

Two of the main ones are:

Anandamine (AEA)

2-arachinoylglyerol (2-AG)

There are two major cannabinoid receptors identified in our bodies, CB1 and CB2. Both receptors are found throughout the entire body forming part of the complex Endocannabinoid System (ECS) network. CB1 tends to be present in higher concentration in the brain and central nervous system, whereas CB2 is found in higher concentration is the peripheral nervous system and immune cells.

CBD is active in both receptors and can communicate through the entire Endocannabinoid system.

We are 100% grassroots. This means we have no investors. We are humans living life humbly, making ends meet and simultaneously channeling savings and spare time in devotion to the land. Our team is diverse, intergenerational and all of us have our own unique, long standing relationship with Cannabis that guided us to create a system that yields high quality Cannabidiol Supplements to our communities. We have small (in comparison to most) crops that we tend to from seed, to sprout, to flower in nutrient dense soil, with no chemicals, in sun exposed greenhouses to protect from environmental pollutants that might be floating in the wind.

We are attuned to all the physical, subtle expressions and communications of the plants, learning from their growth patterns, supporting their health and conserving/reawakening the millennial relationship.

Once we harvest we process each plant carefully, we are acutely aware that the handling of the plants, the trimming of the flowers must be done reverently to maintain integral relationships and for that integrity to be infused in the final product.

Once our plants have been trimmed and dried we begin our artisanal alchemy process. Artisanal refers to the traditional, artistry of hand-crafting plant medicine. We don’t isolate any one Cannabinoid using butane, gas and or machinery. We believe that the benefit comes from all chemical constituents remaining present, in the same way our human body is in optimum health when whole. We focus on infusing or extracting (depending on the intended product) the Full Spectrum, meaning all constituents of the plant, in alignment with traditional herbalism values.

Our process is slow, high quality and attentive to detail. We know that in taking our time we achieve our goal, which is, for the essence of the plant to be true and strong in every offering.

In this way, we can guarantee that you will feel the benefit from our products. We share a Seed to Body connection that inspires wellness and rehabilitates the misconceptions surrounding cannabis as well as breaks away from the mass produced profit driven system.
